What is Biofilm? Biofilm in the mouth is a sticky icky layer of bacteria - (often referred to as plaque), which can cause problems like cavities and gum disease. If not properly removed; it forms a complex community of microorganisms embedded in a sticky substance, potentially damaging tooth enamel and irritating gum tissue when left untreated...

Don't be surprised if after a few uses you notice those bleeding gums suddenly disappear. Remember gingivitis is 100% reversable like many conditions...

To use, sprinkle the recommended amount of powder, usually about one-eighth of a teaspoon, onto a wet toothbrush then brush your teeth as you normally would. (I don't necessarily recommend dipping your brush in the jar. This will ensure you don't contaminate it.) 

After brushing- spit in the trash! =) Then enjoy the clean feeling left behind.

Why I chose the ingredients I chose: 

• Kaolin clay is a mild abrasive that helps to clean teeth by removing plaque and surface stains. It also has the potential to whiten teeth and reduce bad breath due to its antibacterial properties.
• Baking soda helps to neutralize excess acidity by raising the PH level in the mouth. Which helps to protect tooth enamel from damage caused by acidic food and drinks; essentially, it helps balance the pH in your mouth towards a more neutral state.
• Bentonite clay is alkaline, loaded with minerals, and it binds to and draws out toxins such as heavy metals.
• Fractionated coconut oil/ MCT oil is indeed an effective way to reduce plaque and harmful bacteria, resulting in healthier teeth and gums, as well as fresher breath
• Organic Peppermint Oil -Research has found that peppermint oil is exceptionally powerful for fighting oral pathogens and killing common bacteria that can lead to cavities and gum disease.
• Clove contains a compound called eugenol. Studies have shown that eugenol can decrease the production of inflammatory substances in the body. This can help relieve conditions like gingivitis, a common gum disease.
• Activated Charcoal - Helps to remove surface stains from the teeth (the amount of activated charcoal in this powder is very minimal. This helps to avoid any sort of over abrasiveness)
