Bubbly Shampoo Bars 6

Switching to Bar Shampoo and Conditioner will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make! Not only are the bars eco-friendly and sustainable- they will also leave your hair feeling soft and silky.

You'll probably find yourself not needing to wash your hair as much. Don't be surprised if you get compliments from your stylist at your next appointment!

If you're grabbing one of my bubbly shampoo bars today, please don't forget to grab a conditioner bar as well. Shampoo bars are very cleansing and should be used with conditioner to seal in your hair cuticle. If your hair cuticle isn't sealed properly - it can leave your hair "open" and prone to damage. Also, if you have oily hair, you may find that your scalp is over producing oil to replace the lost moisture if you're not using a good conditioner.  I guarantee you will love both my shampoo and conditioner formulations. They are highly nourishing with only the absolute best ingredients.

My Shampoo Bars are free of:

  • Parabens - used as preservatives in many products, raise concerns due to their potential to mimic estrogen and disrupt the endocrine system, possibly leading to reproductive issues, cancer risks, and skin irritation.
  • Phthalates - Hormone disruptor found in cheap fragrances
  • Sulfates - Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), a common surfactant in personal care products, can cause skin irritation in some individuals, especially those with sensitive skin, and may contribute to dryness, redness, and itchiness.

These bars are great for all hair types!

FAQ's about topical Magnesium

What should you know before using Magnesium Whipped lotion?

Unless you have kidney issues, there are not really any precautions when it comes to transdermal magnesium therapy. Your skin is extremely smart and will take in as much as the body needs. If you do have any other health concerns, are pregnant or nursing, it is always best to check with your General Practitioner.

How to use.

Simply apply a desired amount using a finger or cosmetic spoon and rub into the skin thoroughly. Repeat as appropriate, covering any areas needing special attention such as the neck, back and shoulders. You'll find that the Hydra Mag formula is whipped, light and fluffy, while also providing a lot of coverage using a small amount. You'll know right away if you used too much. You'll find it's not absorbing as quickly.

It is best to apply Hydra Mag lotion to clean, damp skin (after a shower is best) since cosmetic products can hinder uptake of magnesium ions by the skin. Hyrda Mag isn't necessarily recommended to use on freshly shaved or exfoliated areas as it may sting a bit. Magnesium is a salt. As with Any Salt- if you use it on damaged/broken, exfoliated or irritated skin, it will burn. This includes skin conditions such as eczema. I find my eczema customers do actually love my Hydra Mag, but they do not put it directly on their patches of eczema.

It's important to note: if your body is deficient at a cellular level- you may experience a tingle, burn or itch. This is nothing to be alarmed about, is perfectly normal and is NOT an allergic reaction.

If you are new to magnesium, always start small with a test patch and work your way up! Try your tougher skin areas first such as the bottoms of the feet vs. more sensitive areas of the body like the abdomen.

What if it stings or it's itchy??

Itch or a sting is actually what most people feel after using topical magnesium for the first time! It is believed that if you are magnesium deficient, it will sting after the first few uses. After consistent use, you will actually not feel the sting as much.

If for some reason you just can't seem to bear the itch, sting or tingle- see if you can make it at least 20 minutes before rinsing it off. 20 minutes is enough time for your skin to absorb the magnesium. If you can do this for at least a week 2x per day- I can guarantee your levels will increase and you will no longer feel that itch, burn or sting at all...

This is me speaking from the experience of being at a very chronically low magnesium level, and just toughing it out for a week. And now I couldn't enjoy the feeling of Hydra Mag on my skin more ;).

Always avoid direct contact with the eyes, mucus membranes, and other sensitive areas such as your face.

As previously stated, topical magnesium is for external use ONLY. If persistent rashes or irritation occurs, rinse with cool water. A rash is more indicative of an allergy to a particular ingredient. Therefore, please read all the ingredients before purchase/use =).

This formula includes highly nourishing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, castor oil and vitamins and is intended for everyday use to improve the texture of your skin!

After using my products with hyaluronic acid- your skin should feel more hydrated, soft, and plump nearly immediately upon application. Furthermore, if you use it consistently for up to 8 weeks or more, you should start to see improvements in skin elasticity and skin smoothness as well.  Once, you're acclimated to the feel of the magnesium - feel free to apply as liberally as you need.

Does this leave a mineral residue on my skin?

The mineral feeling can be a typical result of using topical magnesium spray, but most individuals do not experience this with my Hydra Mag lotion because of the high content of butters, oils and humectants. The skin just seems to eat it up better ;)!

My lotion and lotions in general work best when applied to damp/ clean skin. If you're applying to damp skin, I can almost guarantee no mineral feeling left behind.
